It was a cold night on December 7th, 2024. Chris had headed to A&C Soda Shop in South Portland for a burger and to watch the Georgia v. Texas game. He mingled with the crowd, meeting various strangers and having a great time. It was sometime during this that Sarah's dog Delilah decided to rip out one of her stitches from surgery. Frustrated, Sarah decided to head to A&C as well.

Chris noticed Sarah from the moment she walked in. It was very obvious to everyone at the bar (as well as the cooks in the kitchen) that Chris was interested. As the restaurant was nearing close, the bartender had everyone scoot down next to each other and announced one free shot for everyone. It was at this time that Chris made his move.

They chatted for several minutes about multiple topics (most importantly the dogs--Marigold and Delilah). As Sarah was leaving, Chris worked up enough courage to ask her if she would like to exchange numbers. She agreed, and just a few days later they went on their very first date.
